U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson announced Wednesday that Southeast Missouri State University will receive a grant of more than $204,000 for its Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship. "This great opportunity for the university also helps address a critical need for nurses in our Southeast Missouri communities," Emerson said. "A robust education and training in nursing carries cumulative benefits for everyone in need of the services that our skilled, professional nurses will provide." The grant, issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, extends through June 30.
