SEMO parking permits go on sale Monday

Registration for Southeast Missouri State University's 2014-2015 parking permits begins at 8 a.m. Monday.

Students may apply for preferred, perimeter or evening permits, which are distributed through a lottery system based on student seniority.

Applications are available at portal.semo.edu and in a billing packet mailed to students. Paper applications can be mailed or delivered in person to the cashier's office in Academic Hall. Students should apply using only one method.

Registration for all parking permits closes at 4 p.m. Aug. 1.

Parking fees for the 2014-2015 year are:

* $155 for preferred decals.

* $135 for River Campus preferred decals

* $105 for perimeter decals.

* $55 for evening only decals, which are valid only after 1:30 p.m.

* $25 for River Campus Upgrade. Students with a decal for the main campus may park in the River Campus preferred lot in addition to the main campus.

* $220 for car pool permits.

* $50 for motorcycle or scooter without the purchase of a motor vehicle permit.

* $25 for motorcycle or scooter with the purchase of a motor vehicle permit.
