A Southeast Missouri State University group will hold a number of events this week to celebrate Gay and Lesbian Awareness Week.

At 8 tonight, a panel discussion will focus on "Your Sexual Orientation -- Taboo or Not?" The panel includes a homosexual, a lesbian, a heterosexual supporter and a drag queen.

The event will be held in the University Center Ballroom.

A program on "safer sex" will be held Tuesday in the Towers North meeting rooms.

A "Guess Who's Straight?" program will be held at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Towers North. The program will focus on the inaccuracy of stereotypes.

The film, "Gay Youth," will be shown Thursday at 8 p.m. in the University Center Club.

The Lambda Student Union, formerly known as the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Association, is sponsor of the events.
