The University Choir of Southeast Missouri State University will present its annual Fall-Christmas concert at 8 p.m. Nov. 17 in Academic Auditorium. The Cape Central High School Chamber Choir also will perform.

The first portion of the concert will feature the University Choir. Selections will include "Musicks Empire" by Lloyd Pfautsch; "Sicut Cervus" by Palestrina; "Your Voice Tune" from "Alexander's Feast" by Handel; "My God is a Rock," arranged by Robert Shaw, "Kyrie" from the "Thanksgiving Mass" by Knut Nystedt;" and "Song of Triumph" by Dale Grotenhuis.

The choir is conducted by John Egbert, coordinator of choral and vocal studies at Southeast. Tim DePriest is the accompanist.

The second part of the concert will be presented by the 54-voice Cape Central Chamber Choir. They will sing "Gloria Patri" by Palestrina; "Exultate Deo" by Viadana; "Gypsy Life" by Schuman; "Home on the Range," arranged by Mark Hayes; and "Go Down Moses." The choir is directed by Judy Williams.

The University Choir will present Christmas music in the last segment of the program, to be followed by a finale featuring the combined choirs in a performance of Mack Wilberg's "Anthem of Peace." The last will be accompanied by a 20-piece brass and percussion ensemble composed of university faculty and students.

The anthem combines an Estonian folk song with an American spiritual.

Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for students and senior citizens, and free with a university ID.
