Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf will begin his third term as board president since serving as interim president of the board upon the resignation of Cape Girardeau County Sheriff Norman Copeland.

The SEMO Drug Task Force has made more than 1,300 drug cases in Southeast Missouri since its inception in 1989. The organization is one of the largest task forces in the state serving 14 counties.
