St. Francis Medical Center will present a seminar called "Aids and the Healthcare Worker" on April 22.
The seminar is for nurses and others in the health-care field. It will be held in the St. Francis Health and Education Centre.
Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. and the program is scheduled to be from 8:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
Featured speakers during the seminar include Janet Blair of the Missouri Department of Health's Bureau of Aids Prevention; Teresa Wilferth, a social worker with VIP Industries and a case manager with Bureau of Aids Prevention; Christine Frazier, Southeast Missouri State University biology professor; and Theodore Grieshop, infectious disease specialist with the Internal Medicine Group of Cape Girardeau.
This seminar has been approved for 6.9 contact hours by the Missouri Nurses Association.
The program's registration fee is $25 for non-St. Francis employees and $10 for full-time students. To pre-register or for more details, call the St. Francis Education Department at 339-6107.
