The American Heart Association will hold a conference Saturday at Southeast Missouri State University's University Center for people interested in living and coping with strokes.
Dr. Scott Gibbs, a local neurosurgeon, will discuss stroke recovery and treatment. Two breakout sessions dealing with recreation and leisure, care options, nutrition or coping with daily living are also available.
Christine Martin, a local stroke survivor, is the keynote speaker.
Registration begins at 8. The conference will last from 8:45 a.m. until noon. There is a registration fee. Call 335-3240 for more information.
