Southeast Missouri State University's Speakers Series continues tonight with defense analyst Anthony Cordesman.
Cordesman's lengthy resume includes serving as national security assistant to Sen. John McCain of the Senate Armed Services Committee, director of intelligence assessment for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and frequently acting as a consultant to the U.S. State Department, Defense Department and intelligence community.
He has been awarded the Department of Defense Distinguished Service medal, is a former adjunct professor of national security studies at Georgetown University and is the author of more than 50 books.
Cordesman's presentation begins at 7:30 p.m. in Glenn Auditorium, 814 N. Henderson Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
