CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Southeast Missouri Secondary School Principals' Association will hold its 25th annual winter conference in the Show Me Center today.
The conference, "Missouri School Improvement Plan: Teacher Certification and Professional Development," is sponsored jointly by the association and the College of Education at Southeast Missouri State University.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The program will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Dr. Daniel Beard, assistant principal at Jackson R-2 Junior High School, will preside.
A presentation will be given about teacher certification and a symposium is planned on professional development plans and teacher mentor programs.
A luncheon will be held at the Show Me Center at noon and a business meeting will conclude at 1:30 p.m.
