KENNETT, Mo. -- The second individual involved in allegedly using a stun gun on minor children was arrested Thursday while making a court appearance over a separate issue.
According to officials at the Dunklin County Justice Center, Clarence Riddell, 48, of Campbell, Mo., was making a court appearance Thursday when the judge had him arrested on an active warrant for allegedly using a stun gun on two of his minor
children.
The warrant was issued as a result of an investigation by the Campbell police officer David Dillard, the Dunklin County Juvenile Office and the Division of Family Services.
According to assistant prosecuting Attorney Jonce Chidister, Riddell is being charged with two counts of abuse of a child.
James Riddell, son of Clarence Riddell, was arrested Tuesday and is facing one count of second-degree domestic assault for allegedly using a stun gun on one of his minor siblings.
Clarence Riddell is being held at the Dunklin County Justice Center on a $25,000 cash only bond.
James Riddell is being held at the Dunklin County Justice Center on a $15,000 cash-only bond.
Both suspects are facing up to seven years in prison on each of the three charges.
