KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A 20-year-old man was charged Friday with first-degree murder in the death of a bicyclist who was killed on his way home from work.
Fabian D. Brown was also charged with one count of armed criminal action in the death last Sunday of Robert Osborn, 43, said Calvin Williford, spokesman for the Jackson County prosecutor's office.
Osborn was shot to death as he rode his bike home from work at an Independence grocery store. Police said he was targeted because the suspects were looking for someone to kill.
The second defendant, Rapheal L. Willis, 19, was also charged earlier with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
Both suspects were being held in the Jackson County jail, the prosecutor's office said.
