Jessica D. Cato, 23, of Advance, Mo., was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at a St. Louis hospital, according to Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton.

Cato was driving southbound on Highway 25, one mile south of Delta, when her 2004 Oldsmobile was struck by a 1998 Toyota driven by Erin L. Powell of Puxico, Mo., crossed the center line. Powell was rushed to Saint Francis Medical Center, as was her infant son, Cato, and a third woman. Powell died Monday afternoon. Cato taken by air ambulance from Saint Francis Medical Center to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
