Scott County stretch of I-55 reduced to one lane

SIKESTON -- Northbound Interstate 55, between the Route U and Route C overpasses in Scott County will be reduced to one 16-foot-wide lane starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

MoDOT crews will be performing routine maintenance on the crossovers.

Weather permitting the work will be done by 4 p.m. Tuesday.

MoDOT asks drivers to use extreme caution while traveling in and around work zones.
