Christian B. McCombs, 20, of Sikeston, Missouri, was traveling north on Highway 51 about 5 p.m. Sunday when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report.

McCombs was taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
