Scott County man arrested on sodomy, molestation charges
DIEHLSTADT, Mo. -- A Diehlstadt man is in custody on suspicion of sexual related charges, Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said in a news release Friday. Charles R. McConkey IV, 36, is charged with statutory sodomy and child molestation. Charles R. McConkey IV, 36, is charged with statutory sodomy and child molestation. The investigation was begun by the New Madrid County Sheriff's Department and found McConkey allegedly committed sexual related crimes in his residence. The Scott County Sheriff's Department revealed evidence he allegedly had contact with a person younger than 14.
