A Scott City teen has died as a result of an all-terrain vehicle accident that occurred Friday on Scott County Road 303 one mile north of Scott City.

Dominic Hooper, 17, of Scott City died Sunday at Saint Francis Medical Center after receiving fatal injuries in the crash.

According to an incident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Hooper's 2006 Arctic Cat ATV was being towed by a Honda ATV driven by Kyle R. Kirby, 18, of Scott City when Hooper's ATV struck the ATV driven by Kirby. Hooper's ATV then became entangled in the tow line and overturned in the roadway, ejecting Hooper from the ATV.

According to the report, the drivers were not wearing safety devices.

Hooper was a member of the Scott City basketball, baseball and football teams.
