Chad Bles, a 10th-grade student at Scott City High school, was selected to attend the Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation Leadership Seminar in St. Louis on April 15-17.
Students are selected to attend the seminars held throughout the world based on leadership potential and their positive influence on their peers. During the seminar, students have the opportunity to meet with leaders from the business, sports, and political arena who share with the students positive steps that can be taken to further develop their leadership skills.
Bles is a member of the Student Council, band, Future Business Leaders of America, the yearbook staff, speech team, Scholar Bowl, and is an honor roll student. He is also on the varsity football and track teams. He is a member of a church youth group, serves as a volunteer counselor at a church boys' camp, and was a leader in a teen sponsored day of prayer on the high school campus.
