The Missouri Department of Transportation's contractor will close Mulberry Street between Jetta Mae Street and Warner Avenue in Scott City for removal of existing pavement. Weather permitting, work will begin March 3. The contractor will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with work completed in about two months. Once the asphalt is removed, new concrete will be installed as part of the Ramsey Creek Outer Road project in Scott County. Residents who live along the closed portion of the street will have access to their residences. Signs will guide motorists through the work zone. For more information, contact resident engineer Darius Dowdy at 243-0899 or 888-275-6636, or visit www.modot.org/southeast.
