In its regular meeting Monday night, the Scott City Council voted to allow the purchase of a police patrol car to replace an aging car currently in use.
The council gave police chief Don Cobb authority to use his discretion in picking between two used Missouri State Highway Patrol cars, valued at $12,000 and $12,500. The car will be paid for through a state grant and the money gained from selling the retired patrol car.
The council also moved to appoint Sue Crader and Lisa Schaefer to three-year terms on the Park Board, Mike Ellison to a three-year term on the Police Board and made Cobb the new assistant building inspector.
