Scott City man killed in road repair accident
BENTON, Mo. -- A Scott City man died in a work-related accident Monday morning. Scott County Coroner Scott Amick said Jerry Rhodes was killed while working on road repairs along Highway 77 at Route W near Oran. According to Amick, the accident was not witnessed but officials believe Rhodes was apparently removing a tarp off the dump bed of his truck when he lost his footing.
