MINER, Mo. -- A vehicle stop in Miner late Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Scott City man on drug-related charges.
Jason M. Jungers of Scott City is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated, according to a news release issued Wednesday by Miner police chief Roy Moore.
Jungers was traveling westbound on U.S. 62 when officers pulled him over after allegedly observing defective equipment on his vehicle. Upon contact with Jungers, a field sobriety test was given, and he was arrested. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
While in custody with the Miner Police Department, a warrant was issued for Jungers through Scott County with charges of tampering with a motor vehicle.
Bond was set at $100,000 for the drug charges and $10,000 for the vehicle tampering charges. Jungers was taken to the Scott County Jail.
