  • A resolution was passed 8-0 to deed part of Helene Street, located north of Mary Street and south of Bridge Street, from the city to James and Elizabeth Messmer for the purposes of improvement. The city reserved a utility easement on the portion of the street where a utility line is located.

* An ordinance was passed 8-0 changing rules for manufactured/mobile homes inside the city limits in trailer parks and elsewhere. The manufactured/mobile homes can now be no older than 10 years old to be installed in the city limits. Previously, the homes could be no more than three years old.

* The city council approved 8-0 the rezoning of lots 8-13 in the Northfield subdivision from R-1 to R-2, allowing for the construction of multi-family dwellings. Mayor Tim Porch, one of the subdivision owners, did not preside over the vote due to a conflict of interest. Owners have planned placing eight houses and six duplexes in the subdivision.
