SCOTT CITY -- The second annual Scott City Kiwanis Club Amateur Variety Night is planned for April 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Scott City High School.
Judges for the competition will be Municipal Judge Ed Calvin, Dr. Gary Riddle of the Kiwanis Club and KFVS news anchors Mike Shain and Mary Ann Maloney.
Awards will be given for the best vocal, instrumental, comedy and dance routine in both adult (over 14) and juvenile divisions.
All contestants must be amateurs, said Kiwanis Club member Francis J. Siebert. All dance and comedy routines will be limited to three minutes and all vocal and instrumental acts are limited to one song or composition, said Siebert.
People or groups interested in participating should contact Siebert at 264-2182 during business hours, or George Pendergrass at 264-3187 after business hours.
Admission for the show will be $2 for adults and $1 for children. Proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis' charitable purposes, including college scholarships.
