SCHOOLS PLAN PERFORMANCES FOR MUSIC IN SCHOOLS MONTH

March is "Music in Schools Month" and Cape Girardeau schools have planned several performances.

Tonight, the junior and senior high orchestras perform at 7 at the Central High School auditorium.

Thursday and Friday, the all-district band rehearses and performs.

On Friday, the all-district orchestra performs for the Southeast Missouri Teacher's Meeting at the Show Me Center.

On March 16, an all-city sing is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Central High auditorium, featuring choral groups from grades six through 12.

On March 21, the junior and senior high bands will perform at 7 p.m. at the auditorium.

On March 23-25, the Southeast Missouri District Music Festival will be held.
