School bus rear-ended in Dexter; no one hurt
DEXTER, Mo. -- A Dexter school bus was rear-ended by another vehicle Thursday in Stoddard County, but none of the passengers reported injuries, according to the Standard-Democrat. According to the Dexter Police Department, officers and Stoddard County Ambulance crews responded to the accident on U.S. Business 60 in Dexter. A car driven by Cherie Swirple, 20, of Essex, Mo., reportedly struck the rear of a Dexter school bus. The bus was stopped and unloading a passenger. No injuries were reported by the bus driver or the 51 students aboard. The bus was not damaged in the accident. Swirple's car was towed from the scene because of front-end damage.
