SCOTT CITY -- Several Scott City High School graduates have received scholarships for college study.
Rebecca Jo Vetter, daughter of Bob and Marie Vetter, received the Scott City Women's Club Scholarship, the Scott City Parent-Teacher Organization Scholarship, and the First Financial Bank of Southeast Missouri Scholarship. She plans to study accounting at Southeast Missouri State University.
Amy M. Page, daughter of Kenny and Amy Page, received the University of Missouri Curator's Scholarship and the Regents' Scholarship at Southeast. She plans to study business management at Southeast.
Nichole L. Wadlington, daughter of Robert and Diana Wadlington, received the President's Scholarship at Southeast and the Eugene Skinner Memorial Scholarship. She plans to study physical therapy at Southeast.
Michael John Leible, son of George and Georgia Leible, was awarded the Scott City Kiwanis Club Scholarship, the Scott City Women's Club Scholarship and the Wetterau Inc. Scholarship. He plans to study mathematics at Southeast.
Jami D. Braun, daughter of Michael and Jane Braun, received the President's Scholarship at Southeast. She plans to study mass communications at Southeast.
Miranda L. Edmondson, daughter of Jim and Janet Edmondson, was awarded the Mark Coomer and Class of 1982 Scholarship. She plans to study business or math at Southeast.
Rebecca M. Drury, daughter of Joseph and Deborah Drury, was awarded the Security Bank and Trust of Scott City Scholarship. She plans to study psychology at Southeast.
David J. Baber, son of David and Marsha Baber, received the Blair Industries Scholarship and the Cape Chapter Parents Without Partners Scholarship. He plans to study architecture at the University of Kansas.
Julie M. Kempster, daughter of John and Barbara Kempster, was awarded the Shawnee College Athletic Scholarship. She plans to study business at Shawnee Community College.
Todd J. Essner, son of Jim and Hope Essner, received the President's Scholarship at Southeast and the Scott City Federation of Teacher's Scholarship. He plans to study engineering at Southeast.
Michele A. Crook, daughter of Weldon and Janice Crook, was awarded the Scott City Community Teachers' Association Scholarship. She plans to study music at Murray State University.
