The scam developed as the women convinced the victim to provide her own cash in order to insure the transfer of some bonds. The three women went to three different banks where the victim withdrew approximately $10,000 in cash, because she was promised a return of $30,000.

The women left, and the victim has not heard from or seen them since, police said.
