SATURDAY LAST DAY TO ENTER BABY CONTEST

Contestants in the SEMO District Fair baby beauty contest must register for the event by Saturday.

Parents may register in person at the fair board office in the A.C. Brase Arena Building until noon Saturday. They must bring a birth certificate.

The contest for baby girls will be held Tuesday and the contest for boys will be held Wednesday. Both events begin at 4:30 p.m. in the R&R Tent.

Babies will be placed in age groups according to their age as of the date of the contest.

Judging will be for birth to 3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, and 12-17 months. Awards are given for first-, second- and third-place in each age group.

The baby contest is one of the most popular events at the district fair. Dozens of babies compete each year.
