On April 8, 2010, the Student Athletic Trainers Association (SATA) put on their first "Almost Naked Mile." Participants donated the clothes off their backs and other excess clothing to charity before taking a mile-long run through the Southeast Missouri State University campus in Cape Girardeau. The group raised around $500 and collected 15-20 boxes of clothing, which will benefit Goodwill and the Women's Safe House in Cape Girardeau.
