The Salvation Army is seeking help for the holidays.
In preparation for its Thanksgiving dinner, set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 26, the organization is seeking volunteers and all types of items, including main and side dishes, aluminum foil, salt and pepper, 8-ounce cups, silverware, paper products and napkins.
More than 1,800 Cape Girardeau County residents take part in the meal annually, according to a news release from the Salvation Army.
For those who can work standing up and are interested in a part-time job, the Salvation Army also is seeking bell ringers for its Christmas-season kettle campaign, a release from the organization said.
