In an effort to serve more members of the community, the Salvation Army will offer its "Meals with Friends" program during the lunch hour beginning Monday.
According to a news relase by the Salvation Army, during the last full week of every month, except November and December, a hot lunch will be provided for anyone in the community that may be in need. This program change will allow the Salvation Army to meet the needs of those looking for a hot lunch and to continue to serve community youth during the evening.
"We are excited to offer this new service to the community and meet a need that we see daily," said Capt. Bridgette Amick of the Salvation Army.
