The Salvation Army, 701 Good Hope in Cape Girardeau, will begin a week of evangelistic meetings today that will continue through Thursday.

Major and Mrs. Ed Jarvis, territorial evangelist, will use magic, illusions, ventriloquism, clowning and puppetry to present the gospel.

Their evangelistic campaigns use many types of special ministries in a unique way for many who might otherwise not listen to the gospel, said a Salvation Army spokesperson.

On Sunday, they will hold meetings at 11 a.m. and at 6 p.m. The nightly meetings Monday through Thursday will be at 7 p.m.
