The Salvation Army is designed to provide basic human necessities for anyone in need. Usually those who are assisted by the Salvation Army are low-income families and individuals on fixed incomes. When someone is in need, they can go to the Salvation Army for help. When needed, the Army provides groceries, rent and utility assistance, emergency and transient lodging and meals, disaster services, clothing, prescriptions, school supplies and coats for children...

Usually those who are assisted by the Salvation Army are low-income families and individuals on fixed incomes.

When someone is in need, they can go to the Salvation Army for help. When needed, the Army provides groceries, rent and utility assistance, emergency and transient lodging and meals, disaster services, clothing, prescriptions, school supplies and coats for children.

One week each month the Army serves Meals with Friends and special community meals are served on Thanksgiving and Easter. The agency plans Christmas activities and provides educational programs. Volunteers from the Army visit nursing homes and run a day camp for children.

The Army has an added element of religion and offers church services.

The Salvation Army is in the midst of a fund-raising campaign to erect a new facility.
