An 10-hour, hunter safety course will be conducted at Wappapello Lake Oct. 4-5.
The course, sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake, and the Missouri Department of Conservation, will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to completion Saturday at the Wappapello Lake Maintenance Building, located a half mile south of the dame near the ranger shop..
There will be a one-hour lunch break Saturday, so participants want to bring their lunch.

All hunters born on or after Jan. 1, 1967 are required to complete a hunter safety course before they can purchase a hunting license.
The course provides information on firearms, ammunitions, hunter responsibilities, and conservation.
