ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh is scheduled to speak at a charity event in St. Louis on Aug. 5.
"Rush Limbaugh in Person -- An Intimate Evening of Conversation, Martinis and Cigars" will feature hors d'oeuvres, martini bar and a wine tasting reception. Limbaugh will present remarks and respond to questions posted by the audience.
Tickets are $125 a person. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Clayton, Mo.
The money will go to Outreach St. Louis, the charitable foundation of CBS Radio in St. Louis. The organization raises funds and generates community awareness for area charities, primarily those which provide services to children and families in need.
The event also is part of KMOX Radio's celebration of 75 years of broadcasting. The St. Louis station aired its first broadcast on Dec. 24, 1925.
As part of the radio station's celebration, Limbaugh is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Cardinals-Atlanta Braves baseball game on Aug. 5. The game is scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m.
