ROOF WASHING COMES TO SIKESTON

SIKESTON -- American Roof-Bright of Southeast Missouri opened at Sikeston recently.

Jeff Martin, owner of the new business, specializes in cleaning roofs and ridding them of unsightly stains.

Roof-Bright, headquartered at Atlanta, developed the cleaning system more than a quarter-century.

Martin trained at a Northern Arkansas Roof-Bright service at Blytheville.

He uses a special water-based polymer sealant with fungicide with a low-pressure wash.

"The low-pressure wash prevents damage to shingles, siding and guttering," said Martin.

The process can also be used to clean brick, concrete, tile, decks and swimming pools.

The chemical, said Martin, will not harm shrubs, grasses or flowers.
