Roll Call

• The Benton Board of Aldermen met Aug. 5 at city hall. Mayor Joe Stuckey called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Those in attendance were Howard Bollinger, Geri Hennemann, David Mack, Jim Simmons and city clerk Connie Barnett.

* Minutes from July 1 were read. Motion to approve by Mack, second by Bollinger. Motion carried.

* Police monthly report reviewed.

* Barnett reported a new statute requires $3 be added to fines/collections for Sheriff's Fund. Barnett to request David Summers draft ordinance.

* 2013 tax hearing to be held Aug. 19.

* Hennemann requested spraying for mosquitoes when possible.

* Financial statements for June presented. Motion to approve by Bollinger, second by Hennemann. Motion carried.

* Barnett reported one resident had water service disconnected due to non-payment, but paid the following day.

* Motion to adjourn by Bollinger, second by Hennemann. Motion carried.
