Due to a partial vote tally, Wednesday's Southeast Missourian contained inaccurate information on the school board race at Shawnee High School near Wolf Lake, Ill., where three four-year terms were up for election Tuesday.
Returns released Wednesday by Assistant Superintendent and High School Principal John Phillippe showed candidate Rodney D. Brown gathering the most votes, with 160. Winning re-election to the board were incumbents Alan Otten, with 156 votes, and Gerald Franklin, with 152 votes. Incumbent Charles Curtis, with 129 votes, failed to win re-election.
Mitchel McLane, also an incumbent, gathered 137 votes for re-election to an unexpired two-year term.
