ROBERT J. COSSAIRT

BLOOMFIELD -- Robert J. Cossairt, 79, of Bloomfield, died Friday, May 3, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 14, 1911 at Bloomfield, son of Albert and Lura Huggins Cossairt.

On May 11, 1936, he married Willene Warren. She survives.

He was a retired parts man for Bloomfield Tractor Sales and served on the Bloomfield volunteer fire department for several years.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bloomfield and served as a deacon.

Survivors are one son, Stephen Cossairt, Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Barbara Underwood, Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Ralph Cossairt, Paducah, Ky., Charles Cossairt, Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ruth Wilson, Bloomfield, Mary Eleanor Werneck, Sikeston; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter.

One sister and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Fred Applegate of Dexter officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
