COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Police have arrested a man for allegedly robbing a Columbia adult video store after he inadvertently showed his ID to the store clerk.
The clerk told police that a man entered the Venus Adult Megastore on Thursday morning, picked out some videos and paid for them with cash from his wallet. During the exchange, the clerk says he glanced at the man's identification and saw his last name was Grayson.
The man then pulled a gun, demanded money from the register and then fled the scene.
The clerk gave police a description of the man and his last name, which led investigators to the home of 23-year-old James Grayson. Grayson was wearing the same clothes described by the clerk, who later identified the man as the robber.
Grayson was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
