Fruitland rest area on Interstate 55 closed for repairs
The Fruitland rest area on Interstate 55 at mile marker 110 in Cape Girardeau County will be closed as contractor crews make repairs. According to a Missouri Department of Transportation news release, closures for both the north- and southbound facilities will occur the week of Aug. 25. Work will begin at the southbound rest area at 7 a.m. Aug. 25, with crews moving to the northbound rest area Aug. 27. Repairs should be completed by 8 a.m. Aug. 29.
Highway 114 in Stoddard County closed for repairs
Highway 114 in Stoddard County, from U.S. 60 to County Road 599, will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs. The work will be take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today, according to a MoDOT news release.
