Route KK in Cape Girardeau County will be closed as contractor crews replace the deck of the bridge over Little Apple Creek, between county roads 401 and 411. A Missouri Department of Transportation news release says the work will begin Aug. 13, and the road should re-open to traffic Sept. 10.

Highway 74/Emerson Bridge reduced for repairs

Highway 74/Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge over the Mississippi River in Cape Girardeau will be reduced to one lane in each direction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform approach work. The work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. daily Monday and Tuesday, according to a MoDOT news release.

Westbound Normal Avenue to close

Westbound Normal Avenue in Cape Girardeau will be closed between between North Pacific Street and North Henderson Avenue on Monday, as crews perform street repairs. A Cape Girardeau Public Works Street Division news release says the work is expected to continue until Aug. 3.
