Work on Ohio River Bridge restricts lanes, vehicle widths
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to place a lane and width restriction on the U.S. 51 Ohio River Bridge between Wickliffe, Ky., and Cairo, Ill., on Thursday. The span will be restricted to one lane and an 8-foot load width from approximately 8 a.m. to about noon, to allow a snooper truck to access navigation markers on the bridge structure. Motorists should be alert for equipment, flaggers and inspection personnel on the bridge deck in proximity to traffic flow. Delays should be minimal, generally less than 5 minutes.
Route Z in Scott County reduced for pipe replacement
Route Z in Scott County will be reduced to one lane, between Route BB and U.S. 61, as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert pipe beneath the roadway. The work will be performed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.
All work is weather permitting. Work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near those areas. For more information, contact MoDOT's Customer Service Center at 888-275-6636 or visit modot.org/southeast.
