MoDOT to hold transportation listening session in Poplar Bluff
The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a listening session from 5 to 7 p.m. March 21 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, as part of a statewide effort called On the Move. The session will help update Missouri's long-range transportation plan. Tiffany Jenkins, director of marketing and public relations at the medical center, will host the session, which will be in Classroom 3 at the hospital, 3100 Oak Grove Road. Registration will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public. Because of limited seating, attendees are asked to reserve a seat by emailing onthemove@modot.mo.gov or visiting missourionthemove.org by noon March 20.
I-55 rest area in Pemiscot County closed for pavement pepairs
The northbound Interstate 55 Welcome Center in Pemiscot County will be closed next week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs on the parking lot. The work will begin at 7:30 a.m. Monday and will conclude by 3:30 p.m. March 22.
Route H in Scott County reduced for edge rut repairs
Route H in Scott County, between Highway 77 and Route U, will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform edge rut repairs. The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily Monday through March 22.
Cairo bridge closed
The U.S. 60/62 bridge over the Mississippi River south of Cairo, Ill., will be closed beginning at noon March 25, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. The closure will extend through noon March 28. In addition, the bridge will be restricted to one lane from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1 through 4 while crews perform required safety inspections.
