Lee Avenue in Jackson closing this week for transformer installation
Lee Avenue in Jackson will be closed between West Jackson Boulevard, near the Rhodes 101 Stop Convenience Store, and West Jackson Trail to allow for the installation of a new electrical substation transformer in the Industrial Substation. The work will begin Tuesday morning and may continue Wednesday, according to a news release from the city of Jackson. This section of road will be closed to all but local traffic during the installation project. Anyone needing access to any of the businesses on Lee Avenue south of the substation will be able to access them from the West Jackson Trail entry. Motorists are asked to use caution at all times when driving near the site and to obey all warning signs.
