CAIRO, Ill. -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will restrict traffic to one lane on the U.S. 51/U.S. 60/U.S. 62 Ohio River bridge at Cairo today. This restriction is to allow a walk-through inspection of the bridge deck. Motorists should be prepared to encounter one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers between about 8 a.m. and noon. There will be no load width restrictions. All Kentucky bridges receive a detailed inspection every two years, with long-span bridges receiving additional inspections on an annual basis. Traffic advisories for the 11 counties of KYTC Highway District 2 are available at facebook.com/kytcdistrict2.
