The Missouri Department of Transportations has a handful of projects in Southeast Missouri starting this week. The work will proceed, weather permitting. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes and extreme caution when driving near or through work zones.

Cape Girardeau County

Highway 74 reduced to one lane

Drivers will find the westbound lane of Highway 74, one-half mile west of U.S. 61, reduced to one lane, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. The reduction includes a width restriction of 16 feet and a height restriction of 14 feet while MoDOT crews patch the roadway.

Dunklin County

One lane on Highway 25

Highway 25, between Highway 153 and Route E near White Oak, will be reduced to one lane for pavement repairs. Weather permitting, the work will start at 7 a.m. today and continue through 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Perry County

Concrete repairs on Interstate 55

North and southbound traffic on I-55, from the Cape Girardeau County line to Route M (the Brewer exit) will be reduced to one lane starting at 6:30 a.m. today. While the concrete repairs are being made, a width restriction of 16 feet will apply. The work is expected to be done by 6 p.m. Thursday.

Pemiscot County

Southbound Interstate 55 reduced

Starting at noon today, southbound I-55, one mile south of Route U to just south of Route E (Exit 4), will be reduced to one lane. An 18-foot width restriction will apply while MoDOT crews take pavement samples. The work will is expected to finish by 3 p.m. today.

Stoddard County

Highway 25 reduced

Highway 25, Route M at Aquilla to Highway 91 at Advance, will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews patch the roadway. The work is scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m. today and continue through 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Wayne County

Route HH closed for railroad repairs

Railroad crossings will be replaced one mile west of Piedmont on Route HH in Wayne County. Route HH will be closed at 9 a.m. today, reopening at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, while Union Pacific Railroad completes the work.
