JACKSON -- Riverside Regional Library will participate in the statewide summer reading program "Leap Into Books."

Children from one day to about 12 years of age may be registered for the reading program.

Registration opens May 15. The library is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

"Emphasis for this program is on reading for pleasure," stressed Bernice Springer, public services coordinator.

Registration is not necessary for story and activity hours that are planned each Tuesday at 10 a.m. between June 2 and July 28. This is open to children up to 10 years of age.
