The eighth annual Miss Riverfest Queen competition is looking for candidates. The pageant will be held Saturday, June 10, as part of 1995 Riverfest activities.
Bonnie McCullough, event chairman, said the event is open to all area students who attended high school during the 1994-95 school year. Miss Riverfest contestants must have at least a C grade point average, be single and have no children.
Contestants will participate in an interview Saturday morning and will be presented in formal wear on the Riverfest main stage. The winner reigns over Riverfest activities.
Miss Riverfest 1994 is Jennifer McDowell of Sikeston.
Pre-registration for the pageant is required and entries are limited to 25. To obtain additional information, call McCullough at 339-1511.
Riverfest is scheduled June 9 and 10 in downtown Cape Girardeau and include entertainment and activities. Attendance at events is free.
