Some of the area's best musicians will gather for 3 days of live music April 28-30 at The Camp. The 2nd Annual Rites Of Spring Music Festival features 16 bands, including Rock Solid, Elixir, Inkognito, Fused, Fists of Phoenix, Minds Above, Lost Possum, Catatonic, Nova Lunacy, and In The Clear.

Brock Garrison, the festival's organizers, started the festival last year, partnering with Bob Camp. "I wanted to put on a festival show with a wide variety of musical styles," Garrison said. "Last year's shows were a huge success, so with Mr. Camp's blessing, I have added an extra night this year.

"I wanted to go bigger this year, so I brought in St. Louis band Fused (in the midst of recording their debut album for a major label), as well as Louisville, Kentucky's In The Clear. In The Clear has played with such bands as Sevendust, Chevelle, Days Of The New, and others. I asked Columbia, MO group Nova Lunacy to come down, after playing a show with them in their hometown several months back. I loved their energy and I know that Cape's music fans will as well."
